Originally released in the early 1980s, the Victory was Gibson’s response to the growing popularity of hair-raising power rock and metal and the rising demand for an axe that could handle the pressures of high-speed, high-gain articulate playing styles. The Gibson Victory delivered in spades and although discontinued by the mid’80s, the Victory has developed its own cult following. This much-anticipated Gibson reimagined features their famed double-cut super S-styled body but with upgraded body contours for improved comfort, weight and balance. The Victory now features an Explorer headstock for classic Gibson looks and vibe as well as ‘80s Tribute humbuckers in conjunction with a Mahogany body and neck with an Ebony fingerboard for powerful and articulate ‘80s tones.
