Joining the body is a bright-sounding Maple neck shaped to PRS' contemporary "Wide Thin" profile. While the material adds plenty of top-end snap to give notes more clarity and immediacy, the unique neck carve provides an incredibly modern and playable feel. The neck is also topped with a silky smooth Rosewood fingerboard that offers a luxurious touch under the fingers.
The pickups in this guitar are based on the acclaimed 85/15 humbuckers that have recently been used in PRS' US-made Custom 24 models. Paul Reed Smith famously said that these would have been the perfect pickups back in 1985 because they're hot enough to give you all of the punchy high-gain tones you'd ever need, but they clean up beautifully too. Crystal-clear and articulate — without any top-end harshness!
