He co-wrote the entire platinum album "Slip of the Tongue" (1989), sharing guitar duties with Steve Vai during the subsequent tour. Adrian also contributed significantly to Whitesnake's "Restless Heart" and remained an integral part of the band for over a decade. His popularity led to his initial collaboration with Peavey in 1988. Made to his specifications and road-tested over the years, Vandenberg guitars have become highly coveted on the resale market. In 2013, Adrian formed a new band, Vandenberg's MoonKings, delivering multiple acclaimed albums. The band Vandenberg later reformed and released a comeback LP in 2020.
